10. The drawbar wires were passed through a hole and bent over before they were soldered, so they are quite hard to remove cleanly
11. With all the drawbar wires removed, you should be able to remove the drawbar unit from the organ...
12. ...like so
13. Unscrew the small bolt holding each wiper contact to its brass slider
14. Remove the wiper contact...
15. ....and drawbar slider as you go, being careful to keep them in the right order as you take them out
16. Once all the drawbar slides/contacts have been removed, unscrew the two halves of the drawbar unit
17. I found that the end piece of paxolin (bakalite?) insulator board extended beyond the end of the drawbar unit to hold the drawbar wires in place. I decided to cut the board at the end of the wires rather than try and remove them and leave the board uncut. I scored it with my utility knife and snapped it off. Easy. The old drawbars and spacers are removed and discarded.
18. It's a good idea to clean everything before you start the reassembly of the unit. The new smooth drawbar PCB's snap into place on the new plastic carriers and the PCB's join together without fuss. The photo shows the new drawbar PCB's in place, ready for re-assembly. You can see the contact traces on the PCB clearly.
19. Reassemble the drawbar unit paying careful attention to the orientation of the side (insulator) panels
20. Make sure you fit the screws back into the right holes
21. Bend the new contacts/wipers at about 20 degrees like this
