Here are some pictures and notes from the smooth drawbars conversion that I did on my Hammond BV organ.
I used the conversion kit from www.smoothdrawbars.com.
I am very pleased with the results, so fully endorse it as a satisfied customer.

1. My BV with the music stand/top cover removed ready to start the conversion - the stand/cover is held on with two small screws
2. The drawbar feed wires are the black wires just above the vibrato control
3. Remove the proscribed screws that hold the drawbar unit in place - make sure you remove the right screws!
4. Unscrew the drawbar wires from the ends of the busbars - make sure to replace the screws as you go
5. Pull the drawbar feed wires through carefully
6. Shows the drawbar feed wires removed ready for next stage
7. Make temporary labels using magic tape (or masking tape, whatever you have to hand). Number the drawbar wires from left to right BEFORE you unsolder them!
8. Shows how to attach the temporary drawbar wire labels - just fold the tape over
9. All the drawbar wires are labeled so we're ready to unsolder them all
